Our SacredStory & Mission

Born from a single lamp lit in devotion, Gurusthan Meditation has grown into a movement that touches thousands of lives every month through service, meditation and love.

Years of Seva

From One Lamp
to Thousands of Lives

Gurusthan Meditation was founded in 2008 by Swami Anandananda after a profound spiritual awakening during a 40-day meditation retreat. Starting with just 12 devotees gathering at sunrise for meditation, the community grew organically through genuine love and service.

Today, Gurusthan Meditation is a registered NGO serving thousands of people monthly through meditation, community food feeding, devotional programs, and spiritual education โ€” all offered freely or at minimal cost, funded entirely by community donations and volunteer love.

๐Ÿ™

Mission: Serve Without Boundaries

To offer meditation, nourishment, and devotion to all โ€” regardless of caste, creed, religion or economic status. Every human being deserves peace and a hot meal.

๐ŸŒŸ

Vision: A Meditative Society

We envision communities where every morning begins with stillness, every day includes an act of service, and every life is touched by divine grace.

Our Core Values

Every action we take is guided by these foundational principles of ancient wisdom.

๐Ÿ™

Seva (Selfless Service)

True service has no agenda, no expectation, no reward. We serve because it is our dharma โ€” the highest expression of our humanity.

๐Ÿง˜

Sadhana (Spiritual Practice)

Regular meditation, pranayama and spiritual study form the foundation of a life well-lived. We make these practices accessible to everyone.

๐Ÿค

Sangha (Community)

We are stronger together. Our community is our strength โ€” diverse, inclusive, and united in the shared journey toward awakening.

๐Ÿ’›

Karuna (Compassion)

Compassion is not pity โ€” it is the recognition that the suffering of one is the suffering of all. We respond to pain with presence and love.

๐Ÿ“ฟ

Shraddha (Faith)

Deep trust in the divine order of life. We work with faith that every seed of goodness planted will bear fruit in its own perfect time.

๐ŸŒฟ

Ahimsa (Non-Harm)

All our food is vegetarian and lovingly prepared. We practice and teach non-violence toward all beings as the highest ethical foundation.
